The Chase Sapphire Reserve is Chase’s premium travel card. It has a $795 annual fee, but comes with a $300 automatic annual travel credit, airport lounge access, and a bunch of travel/lifestyle credits that can help offset that fee. You earn 4x on flights and hotels booked directly, 8x through Chase Travel, and 3x on dining. One of the biggest perks is that Chase Ultimate Rewards points can also be transferred to airline and hotel partners like Hyatt. 
For beginners, I’d describe it as: a higher-fee card makes the most sense if you’ll actually use the credits and travel perks—not just because the welcome bonus looks good.

I opened this card specifically because of the Hyatt transfer being 1:1. I felt that was worth the high annual fee, this card isn’t for everyone. Look if it fits your spending style and if the benefits out way the high spend before applying for it!
